Egypt
Death & BurialPage
A mummy is an embalmed or specially preserved dead body. The ancient Egyptians wanted to preserve the body so that the dead person's spirit or "ka" could remain there. Mummies are often characters in cartoons, comics, or movies, like "Goosebumps" or "Jonny Quest".
