The Carlos Museum and the DeKalb Public Library invite children to get wrapped up in books about the ancient world this summer.

Great Books!
Mummies, minotaurs, and myths of the Maya await children on the shelves of the Museum's Bookshop and the DeKalb County Library.

Check out the great books about ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome, and the ancient Americas. Read five books over the summer and the Carlos Museum will reward your effort! Print out the Summer Reading Diary (PDF-format) where you can list the books you read. When you complete five, bring the list to the Museum Bookshop and receive your well-earned reward!

Can't get enough of the ancient world?

Great Programs!
The Carlos Museum will offer its popular, interactive outreach programs, Mummy Wrap!, Dig It!, and Stories from Ancient Egypt at several DeKalb County Library Branches this summer. "Mummify" a friend or create an Inka khipu as part of these fun and fascinating programs. These programs are free and open to the public. Space is limited. Please contact individual branches to register.
