WHAT: A fundraiser benefiting the Michael C. Carlos Museum of Emory University will celebrate the Museum’s largest permanent collection, the art of the Ancient Americas, and support educational programs and special exhibitions. An evening of music, sumptuous food provided by Atlanta’s most popular caterers, and a silent auction is planned. Guests will be asked to vote for their favorite art object representing a significant idol from the ancient Americas; those who voted for the winning idol will be included in a drawing for a fabulous prize.

The Carlos Museum's collection of art of the ancient Americas consists of more than 2,300 pieces, representing Mesoamerica, Central America, and the Andes. Founded in 1919, the Michael C. Carlos Museum has long been dedicated to collecting, preserving, exhibiting, and interpreting art and artifacts from antiquity to the present. The museum provides unique opportunities for education and enrichment in the community.
