Recognizing the importance of the museum to academic life, Emory's strategic plan, Where Courageous Inquiry Leads, focused one of its framing principles on Creativity: Arts and Innovation. That emphasis -- along with Courageous Inquiry initiatives on strengthening faculty distinction, enhancing the student experience, creating community, and religions and the human spirit -- has helped the Carlos grow even stronger in its support of academics.
