
Under the direction of Elizabeth Schulte, contract conservator of paper, two Emory students, Eveleigh Wagner, a junior and art history major, and Courtney Von Stein, also a junior and chemistry major repaired and cleaned six prints of A Harlot’s Progress by the British artist William Hogarth. This podcast demonstrates the chemistry of the bathing process, through which acid is gently washed out of the paper.
