Q: When will tickets go on sale to the public?
A: Individual tickets go on sale to the public in September. Individuals can
pre-register to purchase advance tickets at KingTut.org.
Individuals who pre-register will be notified via e-mail before tickets go on
sale to the public and will be given priority date/time selection.
Q: When
will tickets go on sale for Carlos Museum members?
A: Museum members will be offered a special pre-sale opportunity in August.
Certain levels of giving will receive a select number of complimentary tickets.
Discounted tickets are also available to members.
Q: How much do tickets
cost?
Carlos Museum members receive the deepest discount on tickets – $18 for adults
– which is up to 44% off ticket price. (Standard weekend ticket prices are
higher than weekday)

Q: How do I purchase group ticket sales for
both King Tut and Burton exhibitions?
A: Group ticket sales to the King
Tut exhibition are coordinated through Kingtut.org. Group tour reservations for the Burton show
are made by contacting Nina West at nwest@emory.edu or 404-727-0519.
Q: My
school group is interested in coming to see King Tut. How do I plan this?
A: Visit the

Q: Will
tickets be timed and dated for the exhibition? Can I purchase tickets the day I
want to visit?
A: Yes, tickets to the exhibition will be timed and dated. We expect advance
ticket sales to be strong and we encourage people to purchase tickets in
advance through Ticketmaster at KingTut.org.
Individual tickets for the exhibition may be available the day of your visit;
however, the Carlos Museum cannot predict availability.
Q. Why is
the Tut exhibition being shown at the Civic Center?
A: The Michael C. Carlos Museum of Emory University is proud to present
Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs. The "Tut"
experience for visitors will actually include two magnificent exhibitions.
Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs will be shown at the
Atlanta Civic Center, and the companion exhibition, Wonderful Things: The Harry
Burton Photographs and the Discovery of the Tomb of Tutankhamun, will be shown
at the Carlos Museum's Emory campus location. Visitors to Emory will also have
the opportunity to view the Carlos Museum's permanent collection of ancient
Egyptian art, the most comprehensive and distinguished collection of ancient
Egyptian art in the Southeast. The Civic Center's plentiful parking and
proximity to downtown locations, together with shuttles and special promotional
packages for visits to the Carlos Museum at Emory--less than five miles
away--will provide visitors with a remarkable exposure to the art of ancient
Egypt.
Q: What are exhibition
hours?
A: At the Civic Center,
King Tut exhibition hours are 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last tickets sold at 5 p.m.). Carlos Museum hours are Tuesday-Saturday: 10
am-5 pm; Sunday 12 pm -5 pm. (Closed Monday)

Q: Will members be allowed free tickets to Tut?
A: Yes, some members at certain levels of giving will receive complimentary
tickets. To upgrade your membership, please visit www.carlos.emory.edu.
Q: Which
membership should I purchase?
A:
While all members can receive a special discount for King Tut tickets, Doric level Museum members and above ($150
and above) also receive two free VIP tickets to the King Tut
exhibition. Members at the $500 level
and above will receive additional benefits.
Q: I have a family.
Should I purchase the Family membership or the Doric?
A: The Doric is the best
value for families. The Family
membership is $90 and members receive up to four discounted tickets to King
Tut, unlimited admission to Wonderful
Things and a year’s worth of Carlos Museum benefits. For
just $60 more, you can receive all of these benefits PLUS two free VIP tickets
to King Tut and the ability to purchase two more discounted tickets. Invitations to special member previews begin
at this level.

King Tut tickets as a member? How do I become a member?
A: Go to www.carlos.emory.edu/join
or call 404-727-2623. Beginning August
15th, you will be able to provide membership information to get
a voucher for either the free tickets or reserve tickets at a discounted rate.
Q: I’ve heard that
Ticketmaster is handling ticket sales.
Should I go through that site?
A: If a Carlos Museum
member goes through Ticketmaster.com, he/she will not be able to take advantage
of all the member discounts. To take full advantage of member benefits, go
through www.carlos.emory.edu/join
Q: What if I want King
Tut tickets, but don’t want to join the Carlos Museum?
A: Go to www.kingtut.org or call Ticketmaster
toll free at 1-866-448-7849, individual tickets will be available after
September 9.
