The vulture goddess Nekhbet was the titular goddess of Upper Egypt. Together with the Lower Egyptian cobra goddess Wadjet, Nekhbet formed one of the “Two Ladies.” Nekhbet wears the Upper Egyptian crown, and her eye is gilded. The vulture head was once part of a larger statue.1
