Grow It, Cook It, Eat It!

From corn, tomatoes, and avocados to chocolate and vanilla, many of our favorite foods are indigenous to the Americas. Children will cook with and eat these foods, and even learn about how they have been grown across the Americas for thousands of years. This week-long exploration of culinary arts, gardening, and art-making with nutritionist Abigail Moore will include planting a garden box, making ceramic chocolate pots like those used by the Maya, and will culminate with a trip to the Three Sisters Garden at New Echota, the historic capital of the Cherokee Nation.
