COVID Precautions
We are pleased to welcome you back to the Michael C. Carlos Museum!
Your health and safety remain our top priorities as we reopen in accordance with the guidelines of Emory University. Please read below about the safety precautions we have instituted to keep our visitors safe.
- Masks are now optional indoors on Emory’s campuses. Because of increased personal risk, unvaccinated individuals should continue to wear masks indoors. Should health indicators change or heightened risks emerge, indoor masking requirements may be reinstated. Anyone who needs to or prefers to wear a mask is encouraged and welcome to do so.
- In alignment with federal transportation protocols, masks will still be required on all Emory shuttles and public transportation until further notice.
-
Hand sanitation stations have been placed on all levels of the museum.
-
Plexiglass shields have been installed at all information desks and cashier stations.
-
The museum is cleaned and sanitized continuously and misted daily to disinfect all public spaces.
-
Usage of audio guides has been temporarily suspended.
