This slide presentation documents the use of 3-D prototyping to aid in the reconstruction of extensive losses in a black-figure ceramic plate. A wax prototype was created from a digital rendering of the plage. This prototype was then used to make a silicone rubber mold into which the ancient fragments were placed. Missing areas were cast in pigmented plaster around the fragments to complete the form.
