Artful Stories for Preschools

Preschool children visit the Carlos galleries to hear children’s literature related to the collections and exhibitions, look closely at a single work of art together, then head to the studio for an engaging hands-on activity.

This free program is available for preschool classes on Monday mornings at 10 a.m. when the museum is closed to the general public, offering a special environment for young children to experience art, literacy, and cultures from around the globe. Every child receives a copy of the book to take home.

  • There is a maximum of 22 children per group.
  • One chaperone is required for every 10 children.
  • If your group has special needs, please call to discuss possible adjustments to the program.
  • Space is limited, so please sign up early to reserve a space for your class.

To make a reservation Alice Vogler at 404-727-0519 or alice.vogler@emory.edu.

Artful Stories for Preschools is made possible through generous funding from the David R. Clare & Margaret C. Clare Foundation.
